Peak Financial Education ("Peak," "we," "us") collects information you provide when creating an account (name, email, password), information about your device and usage patterns, and — if you connect a bank account — transaction data via Plaid. We do not sell your personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the Peak learning experience
• To personalize lesson recommendations and bonus modules
• To send you progress updates and relevant notifications
• To analyze aggregate usage trends (never individual profiling for third parties)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with educational research partners. We use Plaid for bank connections — their privacy policy governs their data practices. We may share data with service providers (hosting, analytics) who are contractually bound to protect it.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest), regular security audits, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@peakfinanceapp.com. California residents have additional rights — see our CCPA Notice.

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies only. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party cookies for behavioral targeting.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using the Peak app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users, including students, educators, and visitors to this website.

2. Educational Purpose Only

Peak provides general financial literacy education. Nothing in the app constitutes personalized financial advice, investment recommendations, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified financial professional for decisions specific to your situation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Peak. Users under 18 should have parental consent. By using Peak, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@peakfinanceapp.com.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
• Using the app to harass, spam, or harm other users
• Sharing account credentials or reselling access
• Uploading malicious content or attempting to compromise our systems

6. Intellectual Property

All lesson content, animations, brand assets, and code are owned by Peak Financial Education. You may not reproduce or distribute them without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Peak is provided "as is." We are not liable for financial decisions made based on content in the app. Our total liability in any dispute is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (or $0 for free users).

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of Peak after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be communicated via email.

Does Peak share any Personal Information with partners?

We strive to protect your identity by first anonymizing any data collected before it is shared. We do not participate in selling data from banking accounts, financial platforms, or any service where you log in that could contain personal or protected information. We help keep your financial history protected and anonymous.

How does Peak protect the limited information we do have about our users?

We use electronic and administrative safeguards, including advanced firewall and password protection for our databases, to help protect the security of the information we store. We also use military-grade encryption on stored data for additional security.

Do Not Sell Request

You have the right to request that your data not be sold by opting out. To initiate a "Do Not Sell" request, please contact us using the form on our Contact page and specify "Do Not Sell Request" in your message.

If you choose to submit a "Do Not Sell Request," we will stop sharing your data with any third parties.

Information Request

You have the right to request access to any personal information we have about you. To request copies of the information we have collected, contact us via our Contact page using the email address associated with your Peak account and specify "Information Request."

Note: we collect very limited personal information (primarily your email address and in-app progress). Upon your request, we will provide all data covered under the CCPA's "Right of Access" guidelines.

Delete My Data Request

You have the right to request the deletion of any personal information stored in our databases. To initiate a deletion request, contact us via our Contact page and specify "Delete My Data."

We can remove any information related to your account that qualifies as "personal information" under the CCPA. Note: if you continue using Peak after requesting deletion, new data generated will not be covered by your original request.
